the little things

Fretting over a missed deadline or dirty dishes seems a bit monotonous when there are beautiful flowers to be admired.

On Wednesday we made a quick trip to the grocery store to pick up a few things we were missing for dinner and the checkout lines were lined with these colorful bouquets. I couldn’t resist bringing one home with us.

Now they are sitting prettily on our table and my to-do list has been conveniently misplaced.

An Enid Collins work of art

Last week while thrifting with my mom, I found this handbag.

It’s a bit beat up (some missing petals and stones) but I hope someone will want to add it to their collection. It’s already listed in my shop.

our daily visitor

This little guy has been visiting our front lawn for about a month now.

I have no idea where he lives, and every time I attempt to catch him he reminds me just how fast rabbits can be.

Etsy Love

I treated myself to these earrings last week.

I wore them to our 4th of July party and I love how lovely and light they are. They definitely snagged a spot on the favorite earrings section in my jewelry box.

Victoria

Let me introduce you to the newest member of our typewriter family.

Her name is Victoria.

I found her sitting on a thrift store shelf, surrounded by broken keyboards and fat computer monitors. Saying she stuck out like a sore thumb is putting it mildly.

I ditched the cart I was pushing (like I need any more books!) and maneuvered my way across the aisle to her. I peeked at her price tag, thanked my lucky stars that thrift store employees apparently think a 1980’s computer monitor is worth more than a mid century Royal typewriter and hightailed it out of there!
